Bill Powelson's School of Drums

* ABOUT THIS WEB SITE
AND ONLINE DRUMMING COURSE *

Hi, I'm Bill Powelson, the author of this web site. For 10+ years after going on the web in 1994, I ran this web site personally. At the time of this writing (2007), due to age and health factors, I am reaching a point where I can no longer attend to it the way I used to. I've decided to put it on automatic-pilot.

These lessons have all been hand written by me over a 45 year period of time since I began teaching privately in 1965. It occurred to me early in the mid-1960s that there was a need for a drum course like this. I realized then, that we do not necessarily need to see the teacher face-to-face in a class-room, in order to learn. It was at that time that I began putting this course in drumset techniques, together.

With a little fortitude, some positive awareness, and just the right lessons, it is often faster and more efficient for the student to learn on their own. This course has been painstakingly designed over a 45/50 year period with that philosophy in mind.

Now (if this new 'donation plan' works) you can simply visit the site as time allows and pursue your dream of becoming a pro drummer, one-lesson-at-a-time. You'll gain approximately 30 years of knowledge in as little as 6-months or less with this method of instruction. If you are a self-starter, and if you can follow the simple instructions, I think you quickly accelerate through the entire course with ease.

To learn more about me personally, please visit my bio page.

This entire course is free of charge, but please be aware that it isn't cost free. It costs money to keep it online and available. Those who benefit from it are asked to reach inside their hearts and donate a little something, or buy something in order to help keep it online for others. If you do not, it may disappear overnight, before you have finished all the lessons!

NOTE: The marketing gurus have all laughed at me for naively thinking you will contribute. I hope you'll prove them wrong! They are saying I should install cookies, spyware, and all sorts of sleazy ways to extract money from your wallet and invade your e-mail box with gimmicks. I disagree! I believe in the goodness of human nature! However . . . you are the ones who will prove or disprove their theories.

It is VERY easy to make a donation! Simply grab your credit card, click on the Paypal link below, and donate the amount you feel this course has saved you! Paypal is 100% safe and secure! If you will make a sincere contribution to help defer costs, this site will be here for many years to come.

Thanks in advance, (or from the grave), depending on what day it is. . .

Smilin' Bill Powelson :)

E-MAIL
I absolutely love receiving e-mail from serious, appreciative, students. In the old days of this course, I had my e-mail address on every web page, and I literally begged for e-mail responses. Most of the time, all I got was spam and more spam, haha. So . . . with this revision of the course, I've removed and disguised my e-mall address. It isn't because I don't want to hear from you. It's because of the spambots, that make a business of harvesting e-mail addresses from the web.

Anyway . . . I've decided to place my address in this one spot, in hopes that you'll find it, and e-mail me. I'm coding the address a 'special way' to fool the bots.

Sure! I encourage you to write! If I'm still kicking and screaming, I'll usually respond right away.

BUT . . . TO FOOL THE SPAMBOTS . . . I'LL ADD X'S TO THE ADDRESS. YOU'LL NEED TO REMOVE THE X'S, FROM THE WAY IT'S SHOWN HERE, OR IT WILL NOT WORK.

WRITE ME ANYTIME.
E-mail your questions and/or comments to:

REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE 'Xs' FROM MY E-ADDRESS.
